You will progress

Your role as a DC is to support the RC team to cover and fulfil vacancy requirements for our clients. You will source, screen and interview candidates selecting the most suitable and qualified candidates against the client brief. As a DC you will have the confidence to headhunt, the resilience to keep going in search of the best candidate and excellent communication skills. You may choose to progress to an RC role in the future or there is also the opportunity to be developed to account manage and take on other responsibilities within the DC team.
The journey to becoming an RC starts with developing your ability to manage candidates and fill vacancies from core clients, our approach is that we play to your strengths so not all RCs are full 360 recruiters. Our RC team’s focus is on delivery to our clients as well as supporting business development and account management. You will source, screen, interview and manage our candidates through the full recruitment cycle, supporting, advising and coaching them.
As a senior RC, you will oversee the performance of a dedicated DC, you will manage their day to day activities and support them in their career journey. You will be involved in training and development and you will have strong knowledge in your sector and be an expert in your field. You will lead by example and manage your desk like your own business, operating strategically you will understand how to deliver your personal target and how to get the best out of your peers and those around you. You will be innovative, vocal and passionate, always looking for ways to develop the business.
Our team managers are responsible for the welfare, coaching, and performance of a team of RCs and DCs. You will demonstrate strong leadership, lead by example in your ability to bill and deliver excellent service to candidates and clients. Our team managers display high levels of commitment and live the company values, they strive for excellence and they have a high level of understanding of all of the business processes. They are part of creating and delivering the business strategy and they play a key role in the business reaching its potential.
As an account manager, you will be responsible for delivering excellent quality-focused service to your clients. You will be an expert in your field and have the passion to develop partnership relationships always going above and beyond for your clients. On a day to day basis you will manage the team to deliver for your clients, ensuring that we deliver our promises. You will enjoy developing relationships and have a detailed knowledge of the services we offer.
As a director in the business, you will drive, create and deliver the strategy for your function. You will have overall accountability for all aspects of your business and you will lead the team to deliver success – there isn’t anything you won’t get involved in and the team will look to you for guidance, advice, development, and coaching.
We recognise that some people love business development and some don’t – our BD execs love it! They research, develop new client relationships, pitch and are innovative in how they communicate our offering to new approaches. They work closely with our marketing team and develop a clear strategy in line with the business aspirations for new sectors and new opportunities. Our BD execs are strategic, love to talk and are not afraid to jump on the phone!
This role does what it says on the tin! Our trainers make sure we are all trained, coached and are operating at our best! It is not always a dedicated role, some RCs and team managers take on extra training responsibility and love the impact that they can have on new people in our business.
Once embedded into the business, you will receive structured on-going development in the form of a Personal Development Plan focused around the McCarthy Growth Academy (our succession and opportunity people map). The McCarthy Growth Academy enables our team to understand the opportunities that they have in the business and highlights that whatever level you join the business at, ultimately you can be what whatever you want to be – there are no limits at McCarthy!
