The brand operated 95% of its business through catalogue and online sales however had an aggressive retail plan over 3 years to increase their branches from 8 to 80+ and needed a solution on how to deliver the people side of the plan.

  • We developed a process to deliver a fully outsourced package including branded advertising and the entire sourcing & selection of a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Customer Advisors for each branch opening in line with the Hotter brand values process.  The Hotter team were involved in final interviews to make their choices for each store team
  • We successfully opened every store from number 8 up to the number 83 and never had a store open without a full complement of Management and Customer Advisors with all stores opening on time
  • As the retail business expanded so did the need for an Area Management team. We advised them on salary levels, developed a full process and assessment day for the role and assisted in benchmarking internal potential.  This created an Area Management team with the best of both worlds, internal succession and external knowledge joining the business.  Many of these Area Managers progressed into more senior roles in the business over the years
  • The expansion of the retail network meant similar expansion was required in the Head Office function and again we have supported with recruiting a number of roles including a Country VM Manager, Senior Buyer, Head of Merchandising, E-commerce Manager, and some HR support roles

Our quality ratios were a key focus for us throughout this volume campaign with our aim being to maintain our CV sent to offer ratio of 1:2 and our candidate acceptance rates of 98% which we achieved
