It is important for our new starters to understand that when you start in our business you are not coming in to work what is known in recruitment as a ‘cold desk’. On the contrary, you will never be asked to Business Develop as we employ a separate team that focuses on bringing in new clients (unless you really want to, in which case of course you can!) Instead, you will be given a ‘warm desk’ which means you will be given carefully chosen vacancies each week with a variety of clients; you just need to focus on filling those vacancies with the right candidate. Later on down the line, when you are fully fledged, you will be given the opportunity to manage a client account if you wish (and even then you will be supported in doing this).
Because you are given vacancies to work literally within your first week, it means you can start earning commission very quickly, and hence we would expect that any new Recruitment Consultant will earn a minimum of £36,000 in their first year, even if they have no experience at all. Going forward, we would expect our successful team members to be earning between £45,000 and £100,000 a year on average, dependent on their personal performance and their own personal goals. Our team set their own targets based on what they want to earn and are supported and developed so they can achieve them.
